The art and science of project management are not normally included as part of the training for school principals.  Yet, in a time when we are all challenged to do more with less, leaders who get things done right the first time and get them done on time and within budget are highly valued.  Participants in this workshop will learn to distinguish projects from processes and how to apply project management concepts in order to bring about on-time, on-budget completion of projects for which they are responsible.

Mr. Blankenheim will bring over 25 years of practical experience to this workshop.  He will introduce school leaders to structured management techniques that can be applied to projects of all sizes.  At the completion of the workshop participants will be able to create a simple but comprehensive project plan and understand how to monitor and control progress against that plan.
