Administrators will learn to teach and administer classroom management techniques that provide a foundation for reducing chronic stress and anxiety in both students and teachers.  These research-based RTI universal interventions can be used in 1st, 2nd and 3rd tier applications throughout the school.  Consistent implementation of these techniques has been shown to improve grade point averages, enhance concentration, reduce performance anxiety, and gain emotional stability.  You wiill explore and design an idealized mixture of strategies and support structures that are significantly different yet complementary to SEL strategies that are based on various positive behavior modification paradigms.  In addition, you will create a public presentation which describes and justifies your idealized design and support strategies.  The skills and methods include:  learning to identify and respond to personal stressors, breath-control, stretching, and direct concentration enhancement exercises.  The techniques are organized into one-to-three minute classroom modules, which are presented at the beginning or end of class, during transitions between various activities, as preparation for testing, or when homework is assigned.
