The Midwest Principals’ Center and DuPage Regional Office of Education invite you to a special evening event “Diversity, Equity and Excellence” with noted Author, Jonathan Kozol.

on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 - 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.

The author draws on his 40 years of experience in public education to reinforce the courage, and defend the dignity, of principals  and teachers striving to deliver excellence and equal opportunity to children of all races in the classrooms of our public schools.  

Jonathan Kozol regards these teachers and administrators as authentic heroes working in the front lines of American democracy  and will emphasize the need to give them more autonomy in order to unleash their creativity.  

He will also give an update on the work he is doing with House and Senate leaders to revise No Child Left Behind to better meet  the goals for which it strives.
